Dr Spas Igov

Dr Spas Igov is a specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive care with more than 25 years of professional experience. His expertise is focused on regional anaesthesia techniques, including epidural and spinal anaesthesia.

He graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 1997 and subsequently obtained his specialty in anaesthesiology and intensive care. He also holds a Master's degree in Health Management.

Dr Igov completed his specialist training at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care at Maichin Dom University Hospital under the supervision of Professor Smilov. Between 1998 and 2013, he worked at Sveta Sofia Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, before becoming part of the team that established and developed the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care at Nadezhda Hospital, where he practiced until the end of 2021.

Since 2021, Dr Igov has also held senior management positions within the Serdika Healthcare Group, gaining extensive experience in both clinical practice and healthcare management.

He regularly participates in national congresses and professional training programmes in the fields of anaesthesiology and intensive care.
